Launch Of Full Report On Fund Domiliciation In Africa
Join Momentus Global, Stafford Law and Samawati Capital with MEDA, in partnership with Mastercard Foundation African Growth Fund, for the exclusive launch of the groundbreaking Full Report on Fund Domiciliation in Africa.
For too long, African-focused funds have domiciled outside the continent, a practice that can increase costs and create a disconnect from the very communities they aim to serve. This pioneering report offers a deep dive into the opportunities, challenges, and strategic advantages of establishing a fund directly on the African continent.
This is a critical conversation for anyone committed to building resilient and self-sufficient African-led investment vehicles. Our expert panelists, including leading fund managers and legal specialists, will provide a detailed breakdown of the report's key findings, covering:
The compelling financial and strategic case for domiciling funds in Africa.
Key legal frameworks and regulatory considerations across different jurisdictions.
Case studies of successful funds that have chosen an African domicile.
Actionable recommendations for policymakers to create a more enabling environment.
Hosted by the Africa Impact Investing Group (AIIG), this webinar serves as a crucial pre-event to the Africa Impact Summit (AIS) 2026 in Zambia, setting the stage for deeper discussions on how to build a robust and impactful financial ecosystem for the continent.
Who Should Attend?
This event is a must for fund managers, institutional and angel investors, policymakers, financial regulators, venture capitalists, and anyone interested in the future of African finance.

Blended Finance Training for Canadian Fund and Asset Managers (Toronto)
(Le français suit/French follows)
Convergence, with support from Global Affairs Canada, is proud to introduce a new skill-building initiative under its Blended Finance Accelerator for Fund Managers (A4FM). Blended finance—using catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to attract private sector investment—is a key approach to mobilizing investment in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). This initiative aims to enhance the skills of Canadian fund and asset managers in designing and structuring blended finance vehicles for EMDEs, enabling both diversification and market-adjusted risk-return, while meeting the growing demand for sustainable investments.
This session will bring together participants from the Canadian sustainable finance space, equipping them with practical, hands-on knowledge through Convergence’s proprietary training materials and real-world case study presentations from leading fund and asset managers. It will also offer insights from mainstream asset managers and impact fund managers on scoping, launching, and deploying blended finance vehicles to attract concessional and commercial investors, thereby unlocking new opportunities and expanding their reach in EMDEs.
Convergence will additionally be hosting a second standalone training in Montreal in early 2026, for those who may find that location more convenient.
Registration is subject to pre-approval. You will be notified of your approval status shortly after submission.
