Insights from LARIS, the NAR Consortium, and Emerging Pathways for Practice

As regenerative investing gains momentum, an important question is emerging: how can the transition toward regenerative economies also advance gender equality and more inclusive development outcomes? Building on reflections from the Latin American Regenerative Investment Summit (LARIS), this session will explore why gender equality is not a peripheral consideration, but a critical dimension of truly regenerative investment approaches.

Featuring insights from SVX Mexico, the NAR Consortium, and NESsT, the discussion will examine how regenerative finance can contribute not only to environmental restoration and climate resilience, but also to stronger livelihoods, more equitable economic opportunities, and resilient communities. Participants will engage with emerging thinking and practical experiences from across Latin America, including the NAR Consortium's efforts to advance regenerative food systems and innovative financing mechanisms such as a proposed bioregionalization fund, and what these developments mean for gender equality.

The session will also highlight NESsT's experience supporting Indigenous communities in the Amazon through gender-responsive regenerative investments, offering concrete examples of how regenerative approaches can strengthen local economies, build resilience, and expand opportunities for women. Together, these experiences point to a broader opportunity: leveraging regenerative investing as a pathway toward both environmental sustainability and social equity.

Through presentations and interactive discussion, participants will explore how gender lens investing and regenerative investing can reinforce one another, identify emerging practices from the region, and reflect on what it will take to ensure regenerative finance delivers transformative outcomes for people, communities, and the planet.
