Bobbi-Jo Dobush is an environmental attorney and expert on the financial and liability risks posed by deep-sea mining (DSM). She practiced law for a decade a global firm where she counselled clients on climate regulations, sustainability, financing of renewables, and carbon markets. Bobbi-Jo advises civil society, government, investors and philanthropies on DSM. She aspires to make ocean science, law, and policy accessible.
Andrew Whitmore has worked as Finance Advocacy Officer of the Deep Sea Mining Campaign since 2018. Andy has worked on the issues impacts of mining since becoming a founder member of the Minewatch collective in the late 1980s. He also helped to found London Mining Network, where he was Co-chair for over 10 years, and was managing editor of the Mines and Communities website. Andy has an MA in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and is the author of “A Material Transition” and “Unearthing Justice: a global approach to transition minerals”, as well as various articles on similar issues.
