About CAFIID

CAFIID is a global network advancing impact investing in emerging markets. We convene investors, ecosystem actors, and partners to support more inclusive and sustainable financial systems. With new multi-country programming launching, CAFIID is entering a period of strategic growth and operational expansion.

Role Overview

The Communications and Project Coordinator will support the coordination, communications, and day-to-day administration of CAFIID’s growing programming and network activities. This role will play a central operational function across both CAFIID’s ongoing ecosystem programming and new international initiatives.

The position combines project coordination, member engagement, communications, and administrative support. The successful candidate will help strengthen communication and coordination across CAFIID’s domestic and international programming.

This role is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

The Communications and Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project Director and Project Manager and support coordination across CAFIID leadership, volunteers, committees, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination and Administrative Support

  • Support coordination and implementation of CAFIID programming and events

  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, note-taking, follow-ups, and action tracking

  • Help maintain project trackers, timelines, contact lists, and internal coordination systems

  • Help maintain effective books and records for CAFIID

  • Support coordination across partners, consultants, committees, and working groups

  • Assist with logistics for webinars, workshops, networking events, and communities of practice

  • Support reporting and documentation requirements related to project implementation and reporting

2. Member Management and Network Coordination

  • Support CAFIID member management processes and database administration

  • Maintain and update member records and engagement tracking systems

  • Support member outreach, onboarding, renewals, and communications

 

3. Communications and External Engagement

  • Coordinate CAFIID’s external communications activities across platforms

  • Draft and schedule newsletters, announcements, member updates, and event communications

  • Maintain social media planning, content creation, scheduling, and monitoring

  • Maintain and update CAFIID website content

  • Support communications related to reports, events, workshops, and project deliverables

  • Help ensure donor visibility and communications requirements are met where applicable

  • Assist in developing communication materials, presentations, and outreach assets

4. Coordination Across International Programming

  • Support coordination and communication across international partners and regions

  • Assist with meeting coordination across time zones and distributed teams

  • Support tracking of deliverables and communications across overlapping project streams

  • Help maintain organized documentation and shared resources for project teams

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, communications, administration, or related roles

  • Experience working in nonprofit, international development, impact investing, or ecosystem-building environments is an asset

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with high attention to detail

  • Experience supporting events, networks, or multi-stakeholder initiatives

  • Experience managing communications platforms such as newsletters, websites, and social media

  • Familiarity with CRM or database management systems is an asset

  • Experience working in remote or distributed teams is an asset

  • Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is considered a strong asset, particularly for supporting coordination and communications across CAFIID’s international partnerships and programming.

Working Environment

  • Full-time role

  • Remote position

  • Flexibility for meetings outside standard business hours required due to international coordination

  • Occasional travel or event support may be required
