Climate Bonds Initiative - March 2022

This report details a collaborative initiative between the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) and the Inter-American Treasury Institute (IATI) to advance Colombia’s domestic green bond market. The partnership supported capacity building within Colombia’s Ministry of Finance and its financial sector, enabling the design and issuance of sovereign and corporate green bonds aligned with international standards. The report outlines FY 2021–2022 achievements, including technical workshops, investor engagement, and steps toward a sustainable finance taxonomy. It serves as a practical case study for how multilateral cooperation and technical assistance can catalyse green capital flows in emerging markets.
