Sewu-Steve Tawia is the Managing Partner at Asime Partners, an innovative finance, alternative investments and corporate finance advisory firm with a track record in health, energy access, agriculture, climate, renewables, fintech and gender lens investments. He’s also Partner at Jaza Rift, an Africa-focused digital health, medtech, biotech and assistive technology investment holding firm. He has 25+ years’ experience in alternative investments, development finance, angel investing, venture capital and private equity, and value creation, coupled with networks across Europe, UK and Africa.
As a public speaker, podcaster and coach, he’s also a polyglot with 30+ angel investments across Africa. He's strategic advisor (NED, IC) to various public and private organisations including deputy head judge at the UK Royal Academy of Engineering’s Africa Prize for Engineering innovations. He’s also an executive trainer to investors, SMEs & startups, especially on workflow automation and AI systems.
He is an alumni of London Business School (UK), Audencia Business School (FR), and has executive education from various universities, including Stanford GSB (USA). He holds professional charters: CDFP (Digital Finance), CAIA (Alternative Investments), CIFE (Islamic Finance), Prince 2 (Project Management), ANDEInvestment Management Trainer and Toastmasters (public speaking).
