Marie Claude Bourgie


With more than fifteen years in international development, Marie-Claude has combined her academic background in environmental policies and finance to cultivate an expertise in project financing. She started her career as an international consultant for Global Consult and EcoRessources, guiding governments and the private sector on international climate-change policies and financing models. Marie-Claude joined the One Drop Foundation initially as Director of Operations, overseeing the International Programs in Latin America, West Africa, and India until she was promoted Chief Development Officer, responsible for fundraising and strategic partnerships.

She currently acts as president/CEO of Dominion Water Reserves Corp. (DWR), a private company that aims at being a leader in the natural spring water market in Quebec. The corporation prioritizes sustainability by bringing innovation to the way spring water is consumed and transported to address current environmental considerations.

Marie-Claude holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Bishop’s University, a Masters in Environment from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the John Molson School of Business of Concordia University.
