Eugene Ellmen
Eugene Ellmen is active in the fields of sustainable, responsible and impact investing. Former National Director, Canada and US for Oikocredit, he also served for 13 years as Executive Director of the Social Investment Organization (SIO), now known as Responsible Investment Association. His previous work included positions with the credit union sector, the Ontario government, journalism and private consulting. He is an author and writer on responsible investment, and has won an SIO Distinguished Service Award, and an Excellence in Corporate Responsibility Award.
Eugene sits on the board of Fairtrade Canada, the Canadian branch of Fairtrade International, a global organization working to secure better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. He lives in Hamilton ON.
